What?
The Farriers Challenge is back again for another great night challenge for your Cubs. The Farriers Challenge is an event for Cub Scouts, incorporating a wide variety of challenges and activities located around Selsley Common. Teams of 3-6 cubs with their leader can enter the event. Entrys need to be completed by your Cubs group leaders.
When/Where?
Saturday 28th October 2023
We start and finish the event from Penn wood scout centre.
Each group will have a custom start time provided by your leader around 1 week before the event this can be between 4pm-8pm. Your Finish collection time will be approx. 30 minutes after the last checkpoint, you will be called by your leader at this time as there is no need hanging around longer than needed. This stop you having to hand around for a long time and keeps our limited car park free.
Cost?
The event cost is £7 per participant, please note your group may increase this to cover additional costs.
How to Sign up?
Please speak to your cub leaders as they need to sign up with us as a group. After your group registers you will in due course get an email to fill in your health form with us.

The Farriers Challenge is organised by the Stroud & Tetbury District Explorer leadership team for members of the Cub Scout section in the Stroud & Tetbury District. All aspects of this event will be run in accordance with The Scout Associations Policy and Organisation Rules and best practise will be followed. A full set of risk assessments will be undertaken for the event. These, along with the operating procedures will be made available to all leaders attending the event.
